I would like to help on a trip.

First and foremost you should be fit and able, although age and previous caring experience is not necessarily a disadvantage. You should be willing to attend to the needs of the VIP under your care before your own and at all times seek to ensure they are happy and comfortable.

You may need to be able to push a wheelchair and take an active part in attending to their personal needs along with the medical staff. You would not be asked to do anything you feel unable to cope with although most new helpers are surprised at their own ability to deal with difficult situations.

Égalité Absolue will give manual handling training and we have literature to assist you in understanding what is expected. This may all sound a little ominous, but we are confident that a trip with us will prove to be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life time.
